How do I install and use the MyOperator Chrome Extension (desktop only)?

⚡ Quick answer -

  1. On a desktop copy of Google Chrome, open the Chrome Web Store → search “MyOperator ClickOCall” → Add to Chrome → Add extension.
  2. Click the puzzle icon → pin the extension.
  3. Click the MyOperator icon → Login with your MyOperator credentials.
  4. Dial from the extension badge or click phone icons that appear beside numbers on web pages.
  5. Mobile browsers do NOT support Chrome extensions—use a desktop or laptop only.

When should I use this guide?

Use this guide if you are an agent, supervisor, or admin who needs to (a) install the MyOperator ClickOCall extension, (b) verify it’s ready for click-to-call and web-call, (c) configure basic settings, or (d) understand why it can’t run on mobile.

1. Prerequisites

• Browser: Latest Google Chrome on Windows, macOS, or Linux.

• MyOperator login: Valid username & password.

• Feature access: ClickOCall/Web Call + outgoing permission + a DID caller-ID.

• Microphone (for Web Call): Allow mic access when prompted.

2. Install & sign in (3 min)

  1. Open Chrome Web Store – Chrome menu ☰ → Extensions → Open Chrome Web Store.
  2. Search “MyOperator ClickOCall” → Add to Chrome → Add extension.
  3. Pin it: click the puzzle icon → pin MyOperator.
  4. Click the MyOperator icon → Login → enter credentials → tab closes.

Expected result: Icon turns active; no further login prompt.

3. Place calls

3.1 Dial from the extension

  1. Click the MyOperator icon.
  2. Type a number (use +countrycode or rely on Default Country Code).
  3. Click Call → confirm any pop-up.

Success check: You see placing/connected; Calls → Logs shows an Outgoing entry.

3.2 Click-to-call on web pages/CRMs

  1. Hover over a recognised phone number → click the small phone icon.
  2. Confirm the call popup.

Tips if icons don’t appear: extension paused, domain paused, non-standard number format, or site blocks pop-ups.

4. Configure settings

Open the ⚙️ inside the extension.

5. Verify success (2-minute test)

  2. Calls → Logs show: Direction = Outgoing, your user, correct DID, status = Completed.
  3. Browse a web page with a phone number → confirm the phone icon triggers a call.

6. Limitations

• No mobile support: Chrome extensions cannot be installed on Android/iOS—Google forbids it. Use a desktop or laptop.

• Permissions needed: Without ClickOCall/Web Call rights or a DID, the extension installs but cannot dial. Ask an admin.

• Pop-ups & cookies: Blocking pop-ups or third-party cookies can break login and call prompts.
