What is the process for obtaining an NOC for number portability?

Quick Answer

MyOperator does not issue an NOC or Port Code for porting its own mobile or toll-free numbers out, does not currently accept mobile numbers for Port-In, and handles Toll-Free Port-In only on a case-by-case basis once the required documents, verification, and operator approval are complete.

1. Porting out of MyOperator numbers

Port-Out for MyOperator mobile and toll-free numbers is presently discontinued. Because of this, no NOC or Port Code is available. If you have questions about a discontinued Port-Out request, service concerns, compliance obligations, or any other related issue, you should raise them directly with your Account Manager (AM) or the Support Team for clarification.

2. Porting a number into MyOperator

Mobile Number Port-In: MyOperator does not currently support porting an external mobile number into its platform. Organisations that need a business calling number can use a MyOperator DID service number as an alternative.

Toll-Free Number Port-In: A Toll-Free Port-In may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Approval depends on the underlying telecom operator, complete documentation, and successful processing. Begin by gathering the documents listed in the next section and sharing them with your AM or the Sales Team for verification.

3. Required documents for Toll-Free Port-In

  • The latest bill or invoice issued by the current telecom operator.
  • A completed NOC issued by the customer’s business entity.
  • The toll-free number itself and the name of the present telecom operator that hosts it.

4. Toll-Free Port-In process

  1. Provide the required documents to your Account Manager or the Sales Team.
  2. The AM/Sales Team will review the information and confirm whether the request can proceed.
  3. After verification, the AM/Sales Team submits the formal porting request to the relevant telecom/operator team.
  4. The operator evaluates the request; approval is mandatory before any migration.
  5. Once approved and processed, the toll-free number migrates to MyOperator and can then be configured for your selected services.

5. Timelines and conditions

  • Expected TAT: A Toll-Free Port-In generally takes about 30 days, subject to the telecom/operator’s own approval time.
  • NOC validity: If the NOC specifies a 30-day validity, be sure to submit the request within that period.
  • Pending dues: Clear any outstanding balance with your current operator before the porting can complete.
  • Post-porting commitment: The migrated toll-free number may need to remain active on MyOperator for a minimum period; confirm the exact term when initiating the request.

6. When to contact Account Manager or Support Team

  • You plan to start a Toll-Free Port-In.
  • You need help identifying the correct documents or understanding the procedure.
  • You require assistance with an in-progress porting request.
  • You want an update on a request’s status or timeline.
  • You have concerns about a discontinued Port-Out request.

Write to support@myoperator.com and your AM will coordinate with Sales, Telecom/Resource, or Technical Teams as needed.

7. Important considerations

Number portability is always subject to the current availability of the service, complete and valid documentation, and the telecom/operator’s approval. A Toll-Free Port-In is not confirmed until every verification step is passed and the operator issues its final approval.
