Outbound Dialer Panel Rules & Guide | MyOperator

How do I use the Outbound Dialer (OBD) Panel for voice campaigns?

Quick Answer

The add-on Outbound Dialer (OBD) Panel is a mass voice-broadcast platform that enforces telecom rules, skips DND numbers, accepts up to 10 lakh records per file, rotates shared caller IDs every 30 minutes, offers five campaign types, detailed dashboards, webhook integration, pulse-based billing parity with the API, and dedicated escalation paths.

1. System Overview & Platform Distinctions

The standard MyOperator panel handles normal enterprise inbound/outbound calls and blocks promotional broadcasting entirely. The separate OBD Panel is purpose-built for automated outbound voice marketing, large-scale alerts, and interactive notifications.

2. Core Rules & Limitations

  • The system checks every contact list before dialing and automatically skips DND (Do Not Disturb) numbers, at no credit cost, to follow telecom regulations.
  • Promotional campaigns run only between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. If a campaign is triggered after 9 PM, or a running campaign reaches the 9 PM cutoff, the platform pauses it, holds the remaining queue, and resumes calling at 9 AM the next morning.
  • Campaigns use a pool of shared caller IDs (DIDs) that rotate automatically every 30 minutes to avoid network spam flagging. Because of this constant rotation, persistent Truecaller branding or local number whitelisting is not possible for clients using shared DIDs.

3. Data & Sheet Upload Limits

  • The hard upload ceiling per Excel or CSV file is 10 lakh (1 million) contacts.
  • Manual copy-paste inside the portal is limited to 50,000 numbers per push.
  • For datasets such as 2 crore (20 million) contacts, split them into twenty 10 lakh files and run twenty separate campaigns.
  • If you intend to dial more than 5 lakh numbers in a single day (up to 1–2 crore calls), inform Technical Support in advance so server resources can be reserved.

4. Dashboard Architecture & Metrics

The interface resembles an SMS portal and shows your dynamic TTS Balance and your flat Voice Balance beside the active username. A live telemetry panel displays Answered Calls, Unanswered Calls, DTMF keypress counts, and real-time expenditure. A searchable Credit History Ledger lists every Campaign ID and Campaign Name with the exact cost deducted for each list run, such as ₹37,000 or ₹14,000 per completed batch.

5. Voice Library, Compliance & Audio Mapping

Upload WAV or MP3 files; AI and manual checks approve them within 15–30 minutes. Audio containing any of the following is rejected outright:

  • Stock market promotions, including investment tips, trading advice, or advisory services
  • Global education promotions, including international admissions such as MBBS in Russia, MBA in Canada, or any overseas education consultancy
  • Immigration or visa content, including permanent residency (PR), visa processing, or immigration consultancy
  • Clips that do not clearly mention the company or brand name
  • Negative, defamatory, hateful, or harmful messaging
  • Gaming promotions, including gaming applications, betting platforms, or any related content
  • Dating app promotions or related services
  • Medical advice or healthcare content of any kind, whether allopathy, homoeopathy, or any other treatment, consultation, or recommendation

Every file must be tagged to exactly one of six technical categories; mismatches hide the file during campaign assembly:

  • Welcome – a standard one-way announcement. The clip plays completely, ignores any button presses, and hangs up as soon as it finishes.
  • Menu – an interactive IVR file with options, for example "Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Support".
  • No Input – a prompt that plays automatically if the person answers but stays silent without pressing a key.
  • Wrong Input – an error message that plays if the person presses an unassigned key, for example pressing 9 when only options 1 and 2 exist.
  • Thanks – a closing confirmation that plays immediately after a keypress so the call ends cleanly before the line drops.
  • No Agent – an overflow recording that plays during live agent routing when all lines are busy, promising an immediate callback.

6. Campaign Types & Setup

Once your audio is approved, go to Compose Campaign and choose one of the 5 campaign types from the dropdown.
  1. Simple IVR – Plays a flat Welcome clip, delivers a plain message, and hangs up without taking any input. You can type up to 50,000 numbers manually, upload a CSV or text file, or select saved contact data. Send SMS on Success texts the customer 5–10 seconds after the call connects. Send SMS on Fail texts them if the call is missed or fails. Schedule Call lets you schedule the campaign for any future date and time. Enable Webhook automatically sends the call details to your CRM right after the call ends.
  2. DTMF Campaign – Captures customer button presses. Select the menu keys that match your script (for example 1, 2 and 9). Set a Menu Wait Time (5 seconds is recommended for the customer to press a key) and Reprompt Counts (how many times the menu replays if the customer presses nothing), and map your pre-approved Welcome, No Input, Wrong Input and Thanks files.
  3. Call Patch Campaign – Connects interested customers directly to live human agents. Go to Manage Agents → Create Agent Group, give the group a name and add agent numbers. A Normal Agent is a regular mobile number. A Call Center Agent is a high-capacity PRI or virtual number that can take multiple calls at once. A group can hold up to 50 agents. When the customer listens to the IVR and presses the designated key (for example 9), the system routes the call randomly to an active agent in that group.
  4. Custom IVR: Supports up to three nested IVR levels (e.g., “Press 1 for Hindi → Press 2 for Sales”). Tech Support builds the flow on the backend after you share the script.
  5. TTS Campaign: Sends personalised messages with up to five dynamic variables read out from your Excel sheet. Example template:
Hello {Name}, your outstanding bill of ₹{Amount} is due on {Date}

Tech Support configures and tests every TTS campaign on a demo panel before launch.

7. Reports & Management Tools

  • Live Summary – shows today’s Total Dials, Pending, DND Filters, Active Bridges, and Retries.
  • Historical Summary – the legacy records repository. It archives campaign data automatically after 24 hours, tracks overall metrics such as user answers, total duration and connection efficiency, and lets you export the data to Excel.
  • Schedule Summary – lists queued future campaigns.
  • Voice Blacklist – just like SMS, you can add numbers one by one or upload a list in bulk to permanently block the dialer from calling them.

Webhook configuration path: API → Manage Hooks → Add Webhook. Provide a Webhook Name, your CRM API Endpoint URL, and choose one of three events:

  • Hang up – fires when the call disconnects
  • DTMF Only – fires only on keypress
  • Connected – fires the moment the recipient answers

8. Billing Logic & Commercial Terms

  • API calls carry no price markup. Whether you automate individual 1-to-1 outbound calls or broadcast to a large database through direct API commands, the cost exactly matches the rates for campaigns launched from the panel.
  • Usage is deducted in blocks of time called pulses, which are set at either 15 seconds or 30 seconds.
  • Billing continues after a live agent answers a patched call. The dialer keeps deducting credits for the full length of the live conversation. For example, on a 30-second pulse plan, a 5-minute conversation between a client and an agent consumes exactly 10 pulses.
  • Standard campaigns are billed purely on call-length pulses. Personalised TTS campaigns add a small variable fee for each tracking field used, averaging 4 to 5 paisa per variable. These rates shift with overall consumption, so always check the current variable pricing with the MyOperator Support team.

Technical Support Escalation

If you need help from support, share your OBD Panel URL (the link you use to open your profile) and your Registered Username/User ID. Without these two details, engineering cannot query the database, trace server error codes, or locate your account.
