What are the types of WhatsApp templates available?

There are three types of templates:

  1. Utility: Transactional Messages
    Used for sending important transactional updates after a customer action (e.g., purchase or request).

    1. Examples:

      1. Confirming, updating, or canceling orders
      2. Sending account updates, payment reminders
      3. Collecting feedback on orders or experiences
  2. Custom Marketing: Promotional Messages
    Promote your business and share offers with customers.

    1. Examples:

      1. Informing customers about your products or services
      2. Sending promotional offers during sales
      3. Sharing offers to boost engagement
  3. Authentication: OTP & Login Messages (Not available yet)
    For sending one-time passwords (OTP) or login codes to verify customer accounts.
    (Note: Authentication templates will be available once we are live with the MyOperator WhatsApp Business API)

NotesImportant Note: Service message is when customer raises a concern, but if the first message is utility then service request raised by the client within 24 hours will not be treated as service message. If the customer raises a service request after 24 hours, it will be counted in the service message as it will be initiated by the user
