Are my personal aadhaar linked details used/stored by MyOperator?

Overview

No. MyOperator does not access, store, or retain your Aadhaar details when using eSign services. Only status information is retained for transaction logging and reporting. Here's how the process works:

How It Works

  1. Initiating eSign:
When you use MyOperator's eSign feature, you are required to enter your Aadhaar number and VID (Virtual ID) to authenticate. This is handled directly by the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) portal.
  2. OTP Authentication:
You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS from UIDAI, which you need to enter to authenticate your identity. MyOperator does not store the OTP or any personal information entered during this process.
  3. Signature Confirmation:
After successful authentication via UIDAI, your signature is generated and the process is completed. Only the status of this eSign transaction (success/failure) is recorded by MyOperator, not the Aadhaar number, OTP, or biometric data.

Why It’s Secure

  • No Aadhaar Storage: MyOperator never stores your Aadhaar number, VID, OTP, or biometric data.
  • Minimal Data Retention: Only transaction status and a masked transaction ID are stored, and these are retained solely for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Compliance: MyOperator follows all regulatory requirements to ensure that your Aadhaar details are handled securely. Our eSign services are integrated with UIDAI-authorized providers to comply with eKYC guidelines.

What You’ll See After Signing

After the eSign process is completed:

  • You will receive a confirmation message indicating success or failure.
  • The audit log will display the status (e.g., "eSign completed successfully") with a masked transaction ID.
  • MyOperator will never display or store your Aadhaar number, VID, OTP, or any biometric data.

Troubleshooting

If you face issues during the eSign process:

  • OTP not received? Ensure your mobile number is registered with UIDAI.
  • Authentication failed? Check if the Aadhaar number or VID is entered correctly.
  • Retry limit reached? Try again after some time or check with the UIDAI support portal.
