Why are minutes not being charged from the time when we actually take the call at our end

Why are minutes not being charged from the time when we actually take the call at our end ( and not from when the voiceover starts playing) to the time we disconnect the call?

Standard international practices for cloud telephony follows the same principles of pricing where customers are charged for the entire duration of call, and we decided to follow same as we never wanted to confuse customers with two different kinds of prices.

The reason for such pricing structures is that we pay two different costs to telecom providers. One is to forward the calls to agents. It starts from when calls are connected to agent; another is for forwarding calls from virtual number (mobile number) to server. Moreover we wanted to charge customers for the duration of system used which is total duration.
