Guidelines for OTP for Service Numbers
Since business client(s) are taking numbers for their business communication purposes. The service number helps clients to manage their calls coming on these numbers. In addition, they also wish to register the same number for other communication purposes and to promote their businesses on other platforms, which helps them in promoting and managing a single number for almost all communications. Few of the examples are Whatsapp, Instagram, magic brick etc.
Sometimes, the ease of client(s) may lead to legal or operational challenges for us. To minimise these challenges, use of certain applications and platforms needs to be restricted.
In order to keep the safe use of service number, below are some categories of applications and platforms for which OTP can not be given.
Payment applications such as Paytm, GPay, etc.
Use for banking purposes.
Use for Loan, Credit Cards etc.
Calling applications e.g. registration of service number for outgoing calls with other vendor(s).
Registration in shopping sites is allowed but it is limited only to the business use e.g. registration as a seller in Amazon, Flipkart etc.

Email Signups
Youtube Signups
