When you upload a recipient file during WhatsApp campaign creation, the system can auto-save those recipients into your Contact Book. This saves time by keeping your customer list updated without extra steps—provided your file meets the required format.
The system will automatically create or update contacts if:
Column Header | Format Example | Required? |
Name | John Doe | ✅ Yes |
Phone number or Phone | +91XXXXXXXXXX (must include country code) | ✅ Yes |
Once your campaign is successfully sent:
The system will skip saving if:
Name, Phone number)✅ Do | ❌ Don’t |
Include both | Upload a file with only phone numbers |
Use international format with country code (e.g., +91XXXXXXXXXX) | Use local numbers without country code |
Remove duplicates before uploading | Rely on the system to fix a messy file |
Keep headers exactly as shown | Rename headers to “Customer Name” or “Mobile” |
Validate the file before scheduling | Upload files with blanks or invalid rows |
✔️ Always download and use the Sample File to ensure correct formatting
✔️ Keep your contact list clean (no blanks, duplicates, or malformed numbers)
✔️ Use .CSV or .XLSX format before uploading
✔️ Periodically export your Contact Book to back up and audit saved data
✔️ For international campaigns (when enabled), double-check country codes
✅ Summary: Automatic contact saving keeps your Contact Book accurate and updated. Just make sure your file has the correct headers and valid phone numbers, and the system will handle the rest.
