⚡Quick answer -
If your upload file contains the mandatory Name and Phone headers (with international phone format), MyOperator automatically creates new entries or updates existing ones in Contact Book right after the campaign sends. Invalid rows are skipped.
Read this before uploading a CSV/XLSX file for a WhatsApp campaign so you can format it correctly and know what the system will (and will not) save.
Rule | Must be true? | Why it matters |
“Name” column present | ✅ | Used for display name |
“Phone number” (or “Phone”) column present | ✅ | Primary match key |
Phone in E.164 format (+CCxxxxxxxxxx) | ✅ | Ensures uniqueness & routing |
Duplicate phone found in Contact Book | Auto-update name | Avoids double entries |
Invalid/blank phone | Row skipped | Keeps the Contact Book clean |
Expected outcome: Contact Book now contains every valid recipient from the file.
• File missing required headers.
• Phone numbers blank, malformed, or without a country code.
• Header names changed to “Customer Name” or “Mobile.”
• Same phone uploaded multiple times in one file (only the first valid row counted).
Issue | Likely cause | Fix |
“0 contacts saved” message | Headers wrong or phones invalid | Download sample file, re-format, re-upload. |
Duplicate entries appear | Name varied across uploads | Clean Contact Book → export, dedupe, re-import. |
International phones skipped | Country code not enabled | Ask Support to enable multi-country sending. |
