What is “List Archiving” ?
Short answer: List archiving hides a subscription list from your default views and selectors without deleting it. Use it to keep your workspace tidy while preserving the list’s definition and history so you can restore it later.

Definition & purpose
List archiving removes older or unused subscription lists from the Remarketing → My Lists default view. The list is not deleted—its filters and history are retained so you can restore it when needed.
When to use archiving
- You have seasonal or one‑off audiences you don’t want to see every day.
- You want to reduce clutter in list pickers while keeping the list available for future reuse.
- You’re standardizing naming and want to hide legacy lists during a cleanup.
Prerequisites
- Access: Your role can view and manage Remarketing → My Lists.
- Workspace: You’re in the correct workspace where the list lives.
Archive a list (step‑by‑step)
- Sign in to MyOperator.
- Go to Remarketing → My Lists.
- Find the list you want to archive and open its More/ellipsis menu.
- Click Archive and confirm.
Restore a list
- If a self‑service Archived view/filter is available:
- In Remarketing → My Lists, open the Archived filter/tab.
- Locate the list, open the More menu, and click Restore.
- If you don’t see an Archived view:
- Email support@myoperator.co (or contact your Account Manager) with the List Name, Workspace, and date archived using the template below.
Restore request template (copy & paste)
Subject: Restore archived list – <Account/Workspace> – <List Name>Account/Workspace: <Name or ID>List Name: <Exact list name>Date archived (approx.): <YYYY-MM-DD>Reason for restore: <e.g., seasonal campaign>Needed by: <date/time, IST>
Behavior & impact
- Hidden from default views: Archived lists no longer appear in My Lists (default view).
- Selection in tools: Archived lists are typically excluded from audience selectors (e.g., Campaigns → SMS audience picker, Remarketing → Facebook Sync). Restore the list to use it again.
- Data retention: The list’s filter definition is preserved. When restored, its Size updates based on current call data that matches the filters.
- Reports/history: Historical campaign reports remain available; archiving a list does not delete past results.
Recommendation: Archive lists only after ensuring they aren’t referenced by upcoming or recurring campaigns.
Verify the change
- After Archive, confirm the list no longer appears in the My Lists default view.
- Check an audience picker (e.g., Campaigns → SMS) to ensure the list is not selectable.
- After Restore, verify the list reappears in My Lists and is selectable again.
Success criteria: The list is hidden/restored as expected; no unintended impact on active workflows.
Troubleshooting
- I can’t find the Archive option: You may lack permission for list management; contact an admin.
- List still shows up in a picker: Refresh the page; if it persists, clear cache and recheck. If the picker caches results, it may update after a short interval.
- Need to use an archived list urgently: Restore it (self‑service if available) or email support@myoperator.co with the Restore request template above.
