Step-by-step: integrating the API

Prerequisites:

• A Truecaller for Business account with Verified Business Caller ID enabled.

• Your outbound dialer must be able to perform HTTPS POST calls.

  1. When an agent presses “Call”, send the above payload to the Truecaller API endpoint you received during onboarding.
  2. The API responds with a signed token containing brand name, logo URL, highlight colour and expiry.
  3. Place the actual PSTN or VoIP call as usual. The customer’s screen shows the verified template in real time.

Tip: No additional SDK is required on your dialer; a simple REST call is sufficient.

When you may NOT see a lift

• Spam threshold: If many users still mark you as spam, Priority or Verified badges can be revoked automatically.

• Non-approved use-case: Using Priority Calls for marketing instead of “extremely important” calls will disable the badge.

• Poor contact data: Wrong or inactive numbers won’t benefit from identity; update your CRM first.

• End-user Truecaller status: While the service “works seamlessly across all OS”, identity elements only display if the user’s phone has Caller ID capability (native dialer on Android or Truecaller on iOS).
