🔐 Methods to Generate Aadhaar VID

1. Online via UIDAI Portal

  1. Visit the official UIDAI VID Generator.
  2. Select Virtual ID (VID) Generator under Aadhaar Services.
  3. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and captcha.
  4. Click Send OTP and enter the OTP received on your registered mobile.
  5. Your 16-digit VID will be sent to your mobile via SMS.

2. Using the mAadhaar Mobile App

  1. Open the mAadhaar app and log in.
  2. Go to My Aadhaar > Generate Virtual ID.
  3. Enter Aadhaar number and captcha.
  4. Tap Request OTP, then confirm to generate VID.
  5. The VID will be displayed in the app and also sent via SMS.

3. Via SMS Shortcut

  1. From your registered mobile number, send this SMS:GVID <last 4 digits of Aadhaar>
  2. Send it to 1947 (UIDAI helpline).
  3. UIDAI will reply with your VID via SMS.
